These terms apply when you use www.almashift.com and learn.almashift.com (together, "AlmaShift") or buy a course from us. AlmaShift is an online learning platform based in India. "We", "us" and "our" mean AlmaShift and the business that operates it; "you" means the person using the site or buying a course. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.

1. Your account

• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account is for one person. Sharing a login or reselling access is not allowed.
• You must be 18 or older to create an account and pay. Learners under 18 may use AlmaShift only through an account set up by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on their behalf (see our Privacy Policy).

2. Courses and access

• When you buy a course, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to watch its lessons and use its labs and materials for your own learning.
• Self-paced courses stay available for as long as we offer the course, and for at least 12 months from purchase. Live batches run on the dates shown on the batch page.
• We may update course content to keep it accurate and current. If we ever retire a course you bought, we will give you at least 30 days' notice to finish it.
• Don't download, copy, record, share or republish course videos or materials, except where a lesson explicitly lets you download a file.

3. Hands-on labs

Many courses include labs that run in cloud environments, some provided by third parties such as GitHub Codespaces under their own terms. Use labs only for the exercises in the course. Don't use them to mine cryptocurrency, attack or scan other systems, send spam, or run anything unlawful. We may stop a lab environment that is being misused or is using unreasonable resources.

4. Prices and payment

• Prices are shown on each course page, in Indian Rupees (INR) for customers in India and in US Dollars (USD) elsewhere. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card or bank details.
• Access starts once the payment is confirmed; see our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Coupons and discounts apply only as described when they're offered.

5. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Certificates

Certificates of completion confirm that you finished an AlmaShift course. They are not a vendor certification (for example from the CNCF or a cloud provider) or an academic qualification. We may revoke a certificate obtained by cheating or by misusing an account.

7. Content and conduct

• Course videos, labs, text and the AlmaShift name and logo belong to AlmaShift or our trainers, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
• In discussions, comments and assignments, be respectful. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights. You keep ownership of what you post, and you allow us to display it within the course.
• We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. If we suspend a paid account for a serious breach, such as sharing or reselling access, no refund is due.

8. No guarantees

We work hard to make courses accurate and useful, but we provide them "as is". We don't guarantee that a course will get you a job, a promotion or a pass in an external exam. Technology changes, so check critical commands and configurations against official documentation before using them in production.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, that arise from using AlmaShift. Our total liability for any claim about a course is limited to the amount you paid for that course. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects courses you've already bought, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@almashift.com; we aim to resolve it within 15 days. Any dispute we can't resolve will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.
